Privacy Policy

This policy explains what the Logkeepr app ("Logkeepr", "we", "us") collects, why, and the choices you have. The app is operated by Logkeepr, based in Oregon, USA. Questions: hello@logkeepr.com.
The short version
- We collect what you type into the app so it can keep your maintenance log and remind you.
- We don't sell your data, show ads, or use advertising or analytics trackers.
- You can delete your account and all of its data from inside the app at any time.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address and password. Passwords are stored by our login provider in hashed form; we never see them.
- Your maintenance log: what you enter, such as categories, tasks, dates, brands, model or serial numbers, names you give items (for example a vehicle or pet name), costs, notes, odometer or engine-hour readings, purchase dates and reminder settings.
- Photos you attach: receipts or part photos you choose to add to an entry.
- Home profile: answers you give during setup, such as climate zone, water source, surroundings, number of occupants, heating type and home age.
- AI diagnosis usage: a record that you ran a diagnosis and which type, so we can apply plan limits.
If you use Logkeepr without an account, everything stays on your phone and nothing is sent to our servers, except an AI diagnosis, which requires an account.
Location
If you allow it, Logkeepr reads your approximate location once to work out your city, state and climate zone, so reminders match your weather. This happens on your phone using Android's location services. We don't store your coordinates or send them to our servers. You can deny location access and pick your climate zone by hand.
How we use your information
- To save, back up and sync your log across your devices
- To schedule reminders (these are created on your phone; we don't send push messages)
- To run an AI diagnosis when you ask for one
- To apply your plan (Free or Pro) and process purchases
- To reply when you contact support, and to send account emails such as sign-up confirmations and password-reset codes
Who we share it with
We share data only with service providers that run parts of Logkeepr for us, and only what they need:
- Supabase: hosts our database, sign-in and photo storage.
- Anthropic: when you run an AI diagnosis, the relevant service history, your home profile answers and the symptom you describe are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to produce the report. Your email address is not included.
- Google Play: handles payments if you subscribe to Pro. We receive confirmation of your subscription, not your card details.
- Our email provider: delivers account emails such as password-reset codes.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it. We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.
Links to stores and other sites
Logkeepr can open stores (such as Amazon, Walmart, The Home Depot, Lowe's and eBay) and contractor directories (such as Google Maps, Yelp, Angi, Thumbtack and HomeAdvisor). Those sites have their own privacy policies. Some store links may be affiliate links, which means the store may know you came from Logkeepr and we may earn a commission. We don't receive anything about what you buy beyond that.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete an entry, photo or your whole account, it is removed from our live systems right away. Copies may remain in encrypted backups for up to 30 days before they are overwritten.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Each account can only read its own records and photos. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password that you don't use elsewhere.
Your choices and rights
- See or export: use Profile → Export to PDF / Excel.
- Correct: edit any entry in the app.
- Delete: Profile → Delete account, or see how to delete your account.
- Reminders and location: turn them off in the app or in your phone's settings.
Depending on where you live (for example California), you may have additional rights to know, correct or delete your personal information. Email us and we will respond within 30 days.
Children
Logkeepr is not intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app.
